Gloveworks Nitrile With Raised Diamond Texture Gets a Lot of Thumbs Up

Gloveworks nitrile gloves with Raised Diamond Texture are pictured in all their colors: orange, green, royal blue, and black.

AMMEX just completed its first survey of gloves with Raised Diamond Texture (RDT).

We asked dozens of users to give us their impressions of our RDT suite of single-use gloves: 8-mil orange (GWON) and green (GWGN), and 6-mil black (GWBN) and royal blue (GWRBN). This provided a useful snapshot of a much larger field of opinion.

Thousands of customers already use RDT gloves, and they never have been shy about sharing their opinions. The gloves have been transformative since their introduction nearly a decade ago. They are not only a favorite among end users, but they also deliver excellent margins for distributors.

So when we asked in the latest survey what customers think, opinions were for the most part unanimous: They would recommend RDT under all circumstances.

To the questions!

  1. RDT gloves provide a better overall grip: yes or no?

Answer: A resounding yes. The remarkable thing about RDT is that those diamonds channel away liquids, allowing the user greatly enhanced grip. Ever have a customer tell you about having a ratchet in hand, with a need to loosen bolts in an engine—but their hand was covered with oil and assorted gunk? No worries: RDT ensures a those tools won’t go flying.

  1. RDT gloves are durable so they can be work for longer periods: yes or no?

Answer: Almost unanimous, as 90% of users agreed. At 8 mils thick for orange and green (and 6 mils for black and royal blue), RDT gloves last much longer than typical nitrile gloves. They stand up better to chemicals, especially those that are petroleum-based. And they have greater resistance to rips, tears, and punctures than latex or vinyl. Some users have even told us that they wash the gloves after a shift’s work and reuse them the next day.

  1. RDT gloves in orange or green provide superior visibility: yes or no?

Answer: Affirmative. These two high-vis colors provide an added safety feature, especially for those who work in dark environments like engine compartments or underneath vehicles. Always know where co-workers’ hands are—and for managers, it’s easy to see who’s following shop protocols by wearing gloves on the job.

  1. RDT gloves help channel away liquids and provide a strong grip: yes or no?

Answer: No equivocating—it’s unanimous. Anybody who has used these gloves can attest to the fact that their No. 1 motto is “Liquids B Gone!” Being able to maintain grip is an important part of working with tools and machinery, of course, and the fact that users don’t have to change the gloves if they get gunk on them is another blow for durability, which translates to fewer glove changes, which translates to saving money. Who can argue with that?

  1. I would recommend RDT gloves to others: yes or no?

Answer: Here’s the clincher: It’s unanimous, yet again. Once users try RDT gloves—a scenario made possible by letting them try on our free samples to experience the fit, feel, and comfort for themselves—and they incorporate them into their daily routines, they are not likely to go back to what they used before. They also tend to become evangelists of a sort, as word of mouth is a powerful selling tool for Gloveworks with Raised Diamond Texture.
