AMMEX has been importing disposable gloves for more than 35 years. We have established policies and procedures to ensure consistent quality that meets all required standards, but we take it one step further by performing in-person inspections of every shipment before it leaves the factory.
This isn’t a common practice in the disposable glove market, but at AMMEX we took the proactive approach of setting up a team of highly trained glove professionals to catch issues early in production.
Anybody who has purchased disposable gloves with any regularity and at any scale has certainly encountered a defect or two in the finished product. With factory inspections AMMEX shifts the focus to the front of the supply chain, preventing quality problems from impacting our customers.
AMMEX sources billions of gloves from dozens of factories and ships thousands of containers each year. We do discover issues; on average, around 7 per month. We then address this with the factory production team on the spot, which significantly decreases the risk that a defective finished product arrives at our customer’s doorstep. We believe this specific commitment has enabled us to raise the stakes for quality.

Some glove defects are easy to spot—stains, tears, double-dipping errors, or missing beading on the cuff—but others can be more difficult to detect, particularly when they include small, subtle issues like lumps, dirt, sticky surfaces, or thin spots. Foreign contaminants also can be difficult to identify but are critical to address.
Ensuring material consistency across batches is another challenge. Variations in raw materials or changes in manufacturing processes can result in differences in glove thickness, elasticity, and durability. Our on-site inspectors must assess whether the materials used adhere to requirements.
All our manufacturing follows ISO-certified Quality Management Systems that have high standards and strive to produce high-quality, compliant product with each batch they run.
Why is this important? Because quality control is not merely a procedural necessity or a marketing slogan—it also helps set success standards for us and for our customers. The importance of stringent quality control measures covers everything we do: product reliability, customer satisfaction, operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and risk mitigation. In a globalized supply chain, a failure at any point can have far-reaching consequences.
Along with 98%-plus fill rates, compliance with ethical guidelines, and expert on-demand customer service, quality control is one of AMMEX’s core capabilities.
