“Sustainability” is a word that gets bandied about a lot. At least some of the time, those who use it are in earnest; others merely pay lip service to a buzzword without taking it seriously.
AMMEX is firmly in the former category. We are sharing our sustainability commitments and tracking our progress by publishing an annual report that summarizes our ongoing efforts.
What is sustainability? It’s about creating an equilibrium where we live within the limits of what the Earth can provide to ensure a balanced and healthy planet. Ethical sourcing, renewable energy use, and waste reduction, for example, are some of the fastest-growing sustainable supply chain solutions now being implemented across industries today.
We are focused on delivering products and solutions through sustainable processes for our customers and operating our business in a responsible way. In 2025, we are committed to achieving measurable targets—which we’ve verified with the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), a global body that enables businesses to set ambitious emissions-reduction targets in line with the latest climate science.

There are three scopes covering potential emission sources:
Scopes 1 and 2 include all emissions generated directly, for example by company-owned equipment or vehicle fleets; increasing energy efficiency through newer machines and other sources; and optimizing processes and products through new procedures and improved product design.
Scope 3 covers conserving resources through avoidance, such as making fewer business trips and using less packaging; using more climate-friendly raw materials such as plant-based, regional, and recycled raw materials; and engaging with both your suppliers and employees to encourage more climate action.
Another change growing in urgency in 2025 is supplier diversity and ethical procurement. By diversifying suppliers, businesses reduce risk, foster innovation, and strengthen community ties. Conversely, ethical procurement ensures compliance with labor and environmental standards, building trust with stakeholders and consumers.
